MAULDIN, S.C. (August 5, 2009) –- Hundreds of schools, churches and other non-profit organizations from across BI-LO’s four-state operating area of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee will receive $369,000 through BI-LO’s boostersplus® Program. The boostersplus® Program provides BI-LO customers the opportunity to select organizations in their community to be the recipient of a percentage of the proceeds from their purchases.
“BI-LO’s boostersplus® Program is a wonderful way for us to give our customers a simple way to support organizations that are important to them and to their communities. Many of our customers are involved with organizations throughout the area, whether it be their kids’ schools, their church or a non-profit they are passionate about, and boostersplus® provides them a chance to donate to these organizations simply by doing their everyday grocery shopping,” said BI-LO’s Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing John Conroy.
The boostersplus® Program began nearly four years ago and has donated nearly $1.7 million to date. BI-LO contributes one percent of customers’ purchases to the organization(s) of their choice when they shop with their BONUSCARD®. Organizations can also receive additional funds through the sale of BI-LO gift cards. For more information about the BI-LO boostersplus® Program, visit here or call 1-800-768-4438.
