GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 20, 2009) — BI-LO’s Deli is heating up with its new signature offering – Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken. Now available in the Deli at all BI-LO locations, this gives customers one more fresh meal option unlike any other.
Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken is fresh and never frozen. Freshly breaded with BI-LO’s own personal secret recipe, Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken is fried on-site every two hours from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. by a dedicated BI-LO Deli Teammate. Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken is available on the bone and in boneless strips, contains no MSG and has zero Trans Fats.
This new offering at BI-LO gives customers an enticing fried chicken experience unlike any other before. The BI-LO team worked to perfect fresh breading that adheres to the chicken for each bite and is not as greasy as comparable products currently on the market.
“We are very proud to offer our customers a new delicious and convenient meal solution. It took us a while to develop the perfect recipe for our Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken, but we believe it was certainly worth the wait,” said Allen Reavis, Director of Deli Bakery Marketing with BI-LO.
In addition, there are a variety of mouth-watering sides available so busy shoppers can pick up an entire meal for their family while doing their regular grocery shopping. Sides available include mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, macaroni and cheese as well as special seasonal items. Not only is Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken a convenient meal option, but it is also an affordable one. Available for purchase as a single item, meal or “meat and three,” Lip Lickin’ Fried Chicken comes in a variety of options designed to meet anyone’s fried chicken craving.
