Grocer's Website Catalogs a Delicious Menu of Summer Produce Recipes.
GREENVILLE, S.C. — As summer is in full swing, the BI-LO Website is now ripe with a diverse collection of recipes featuring local produce. This exciting new online recipe collection showcases a myriad of our local farmer’s recipes from cutting edge to Southern traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation and are available as handy, printable recipe cards.
BI-LO asked its farmers to share some of their family favorite recipes. With more than two dozen recipes, the company’s local produce recipe collection showcases what’s fresh and what’s in store in a convenient online format.
The tantalizing recipes available online from BI-LO’s farm partners include, among others:
No Can Pickles and Fried Green Tomatoes from Maranda and Sissy Stratton of Tennessee’s Stratton Farms
Mushroom Tacos and Exotic Mushroom Potstickers from Brian Jenny of North Carolina’s Monterey Mushrooms
Farm Fresh Blueberry Pie and Coosaw Farms Blueberry Muffins from Angela O’Neal of South Carolina’s Coosaw Farms
Tucker Farms’ Watermelon Mint Lemonade from Kathy Tucker of Georgia’s Dean Tucker Farms
Hot Vidalia Onion Dip from R.E. Hendrix of Georgia’s Hendrix Produce.
“We’re proud that nearly 50 percent of the produce BI-LO customers enjoy comes from farmers across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee,” said Bob Denomme, Director of Produce with BI-LO. “These online recipes offer great ideas for bringing the freshness and quality of our local produce to the tables of our customers.”
