BI-LO Charities
BI-LO is part of your community. And a part of your world. So being part of something bigger and giving back to where we live is something we esteem. It takes time, commitment, compassion and understanding, but we think it’s worth it. Because it matters to all of us.
Our most well known and powerfully charitable event is the BI-LO Charity Classic, our annual golf tournament held in Greenville, South Carolina. The tournament provides support for over 500 organizations throughout our areas of business. Begun in 1984, the event now raises well in excess of five million dollars annually for various local charities.
Local involvement with Habitat for Humanity®, The Greenville Hospital System®, United Way® and Walter’s Truckload® sale further supports our long term commitment to the communities in which we do business. We feel it’s our duty to be involved. Because where it really matters is here, where we live.
