Organization Questions
How does an organization sign up for the boostersplus program?
Enrolling your organization is easy. The organization can request an application by calling our boostersplus department, 1-800-768-4438, printing the online application, or by emailing us. Approved organizations will be assigned a boostersplus number and enrollment forms will be sent to the appropriate BI-LO store requested by the organization.
How do I get a Letter of Determination?
To get a copy of your Letter of Determination (501-C3 status) you will need to call the IRS or visit www.irs.gov.
Will organizations that were previously enrolled in boostersplus need to submit paperwork to enroll again each year?
Yes. Organizations need to sign and verify the re-enrollment paperwork we send out each year in order to participate in the upcoming year.
How much can an organization earn?
Organizations will receive one percent of their participants' purchases excluding, but not limited to, money orders, gift cards, Western Union transactions, postage stamps and lottery tickets. They can earn a maximum of $3000 per program year plus $1000 in gift card discounts.
When are the donation checks distributed to the organizations?
Donation checks for the August - December term are distributed in February and donation checks for January - May term are distributed in August.
What denominations are available for gift cards?
$25, $50 and $100 denominations are available through this program.
When do organizations pay for the gift cards?
All gift card orders must be paid in full at the time they are picked up at the store.
What is the discount amount on gift card purchases?
A 4% discount will be given on gift card purchases of $500 or more.
Is there a maximum discount amount for gift card purchases?
Groups may purchase up to $25,000 in gift cards from August to May with a maximum discount of $1000.
